We tried affiliates many years ago, but it sparked a heated debate among members with their own forums, so we eventually decided to remove the plugin. That's why I also stopped actively recruiting among other admins. Still, I'm happy that people like you come along with a positive and constructive attitude, but we never know what the cat may drag in, so to speak.  |

I see what you mean... I see your point! I had it twice , but never joined it.. which made me wonder why... but that's ok... I suppose my forum is a bit boring. and I don't do RPG... that for me personally is boring. I don't like writing long stories of being a character. so of speak.. I mean if the writing wasn't so long and short lines.... I might consider a RPG here... I'm not entirely sold on it!
I guess I will have to think about the affiliate plugin...
some of the plugins don't work right... its like you got to know which one to put in order for all the plugins to work in proper place. know what I mean???

The problem in my experience is that a plugin may work fine in one forum, but has hiccups in another and we never know which in which, until we have tried and compared. I have enough plugins now, I think and after the V6 failure, the number of pages in the Plugin Library has shrunk from 38 to 31 or therebouts, so it seems as if nobody s making new ones anymore and barely updating the old ones. One could say that the air seems to have gone out of the balloon...

I have to agree with you... I don't know and hope they do not get rid of Proboards altogether... the help there is not as much as it used to be... what the hell happened over there?! I've been gone for several years and most of the help is not as noticeable ... or maybe it's my imagination? speaking of the plugins ins.... I don't have that many. I just have a handful, I got rid of some due to the fact some just were not working! ugh... there is one plugin I want really bad....I tried it three times on my forum... but it just won't work. I don't know why... it seemed to work for the others... as you stated V6 maybe the cause and cause crash V5? Not sure... I think I had my forums when it was V4 or V3.... I can't remember! It's been a while! it does seem the air left the balloon... Pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ~~~~O  |
